Open ITN File
The TomTom Navigator GPS software uses ITN extension files as travel itinerary to save travel routes and POIs as an ASCII text file.
The interesting thing about this application is that it marks the locations as a waypoint or destination points and marks them as visited or not visited.
An important aspect are the fields contained in the ITN extension files, which basically consist of the coordinates of the point, latitude and longitude, in WGS84 format.
As expected, these files can also be transferred to and from a TomTom GPS device via the USB cable.
To open ITN files, you must have one of the following software
installed on your system:
- POIConverter (Unavailable)
- TomTom HOME
Open ITN File on Windows Operating System
- Find a ITN file in question in Windows OS File Explorer and double click on it to launch the correpsonding application.
- If a ITN file is not opened in an application and you instead get a "Windows can't open a file" error message you should try looking for an application which can open the file in question.
- If you know the application which can open ITN file then run it and see if there is a File->Open main menu option in the application.
- If you don't know the application which can open ITN file then try to search for "ITN wiki", "application to open ITN file" or "open ITN file" queries in the search engine you like.
- Install the application you found and check if it can open ITN file
