System Deployment Image (SDI) file created with Windows Embedded Studio, a program used to create disk images for Windows; contains a boot blob, a load blob, and a part blob; commonly used to create RAM disks or boot disks for loading and installing Windows.

SDI files only work with Windows Embedded Studio and are not intended to be opened manually.
