VSI files are generated by scientific imaging hardware and contain information in scientific instrument specific format. VSI format originated from Olympus. VSI file format is described on cellSens VSI page. VSI file format could be parsed by Bio-Formats Library.

QuPath is also capable of opening VSI files. Besides VSI it can open BIF, CZI, iSyntax, MRXS, NDPI, and other medical imaging formats.
In order to open VSI file make sure that you have one of the above libraries/applications installed and double click on the VSI file to open.
