A PDO extension file is a digital origami file created by Pepakura Designer, a program that allows the user to generate paper models from 3D model data.
This software is used in creating paper art models or what is commonly known as Origami, but in this case they are created electronically and mostly in 3D form.
The PDO format file contains a 3D model and its corresponding 2D paper cutout, which stores the necessary lines, cuts and fold patterns in the paper model and recreates the figure in 3D. These files are useful as it makes it easy to craft paper model-based crafts using the software.
Pepakura is a proprietary Japanese program that has been translated into English, however PDO files can be viewed with the free Pepakura Viewer.
