Open MMP File
MMP files have various uses, including:
Symbian Project Specification File
In this case, the MMP file is used as a Symbian operating system development project.
The MMP file contains project properties used to build the platform or tools that the compiler uses.
The MMP file is used by the SDK's makmake
or abld
tools to convert the
file into a makefile for a specific mobile platform.
The Nokia operating system and the Symbian SDK are no longer available, therefore the use of this file is obsolete.
Master Album Maker Project
In this section, the MMP file is a Master Album Maker project file, which includes the album structure, text, effects, and links to all images and audio files referenced by the photo album.
MixMeister Playlist
For MixMeister, the MMP file is a playlist of songs that contains references to the songs, but not the songs themselves, therefore it cannot be considered an audio file, but an auxiliary file, or, a list.
MindManager Mind Map
Here, the MMP file is a data file created by MindManager, an application used to develop and organize ideas or mind maps, visually.
It is important to know that the MMP file for this application is compatible only for the Windows version of MindManager.
LMMS Project File
Like MixMeister, in this section, the MMP file is a project file created by LMMS (Linux MultiMedia Studio), an audio authoring and mixing application, for the Linux operating system.
The MMP file contains LMMS project data such as sound effects, instrument settings, tempo, pitch, etc., and can be exported as WAV and OGG.
The LMMS application replaced the MMP file extension with the MMPZ extension.
