LACCDB format and extension files are Microsoft Access lock files.
That is, they are Access ACCDB project files, but with access blocked, that is why the letter 'L' was appended to the beginning.
LACCDB files contain database locks and play a great role in preventing accidental overwriting or deletion of some item of your own in the database.
The LACCDB files are automatically created by Access 2007 when the original ACCDB files are opened and once you close the ACCDB files then the LACCDB files will be closed automatically as well.
These LACCDB files generally have the same name as the corresponding original project, as well as are in the same directory.
This application allows the reduction of errors and saves time when publishing, managing and sharing data files over the Internet, keeping the data safe.
LACCDB files are considered temporary backups with locked access, therefore their manual opening is not recommended.
For working with LACCDB files the following software package is recommended:
Frequently associated Windows objects:
- Access.LockFile.12
- Access.LockFile.14
