Open GP4 File

GP4 files have two different types of uses, namely:

Guitar Pro 4 Tablature

The GP4 extension files, in this use case, are guitar tab formats used by Guitar Pro 4, a program for creating multitrack music through a guitar composition and its respective accompaniment.

The GP4 file can contain tabs for guitar, bass, or banjo, and any string instrument.

The GP4 file saves the data in a music notation format that can be opened with Guitar Pro or other open source guitar notation programs.

GP4 files can be transferred to any type of device, including mobile phones, however, it is possible that due to the characteristics of this file, it is not possible to open them correctly.

Raster Image Files

In this application, GP4 files are fax files saved by various PC fax programs.

Here, the GP4 files contain a generic fax document saved in the standardized format of Group 4 of the International Telegraph and Telephone Consultative Committee, which stores a binary (0's and 1's) or two-level image using lossless compression.

To open GP4 files, you must first make sure of the file format, and then you can use of any of the following software packages
