The FXM file is created by WinFax, a program used to send and receive faxes in Windows.

WinFax or WinFax PRO is a software package developed by Microsoft, specifically for Windows, now discontinued, designed to make computers equipped with fax-modems communicate directly with stand-alone fax machines or other similarly equipped computers.

In this second case, the FXM file is a 3D motion file created by MessiahStudio.

MessiahStudio is a professional 3D rendering and animation application.

It is available for Windows and OS X but the software has been discontinued and is no longer maintained.

The application offers a suite of animation tools that allow you to modify animated characters non-destructively and create muscle bones for characters using state-of-the-art rendering.

The FXM file saves the movement data of a character in 3D space, through the constructed paths, rotations and scales.

How Can I Open FXM File on Windows

We researched and learned that the best way to open FXM file is to find a FXM file in question in Windows OS File Explorer and double click on it to launch the corresponding application.
If a FXM file is not opened in an application and you instead get a "Windows can't open a file" error message you should try looking for an application which can open the file in question.
